February 16, 2013

This morning I was on twitter and came across this post that I wanted to share with everyone. I am looking to get more followers of my blog and want to share the resources I have with others which are families,  teachers, and  book lovers like me.

Please answer this question:

What upcoming book in 2013 are you most looking forward to reading?  I know that this book has been around for awhile but it is top on my list right now for adult books so I hope this is ok to count for the contest.  Since I am a teacher of elementary students a lot of my current reading is children's books.

In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin

What to do:

1. Post on your blog answering this question:

What upcoming book in 2013 are you most looking forward to reading?

2. Enter the link to your post in the linky list below (enter your Blog Name and the direct link to your post answering this week’s question. Failure to do so will result in removal of your link).

3. Visit other blogs in the list and comment on their posts. Try to spend some time on the blogs reading other posts and possible become a new follower.  The purpose of the hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

I have realized how many great book blogs there are just by doing this blog hop.  I welcome your comments and feedback.

My Birthday October 28, 2012

Today, I celebrated my 40th birthday with family.  It has been a very nice day and a good time for me to relax and reflect.  Yesterday, I finished up my work with the Southern Maine Writing Project.  I am now a Teacher Consultant.  I am proud of this accomplishment and can't wait to do some more presenting in the future.  Martha and Liz, if you need help in the future presenting to others I would love to work with you! I have some books on my to read list this week.

1. Torch by Cheryl Strayed (It is a continuation of the story Wild that I just finished.)   I was thinking I would recommend this to my Literacy Ladies friends.

2. Tango by Eileen Beha

3. Annual Growth for all students catch-up growth for those students who are behind. (This book was lent to me by Mary Waterhouse and I can't wait to get more into it).  I am especially looking at it for teacher ideas with the students I work with.)

If you are interested in other books on my to read list, please go to goodreads.com and look me up.  I would welcome the conversations.
